Understanding the Inner Child

The term inner child refers to the emotional part of the mind that formed during our early experiences in life.

When certain needs were not fully met in childhood — such as safety, reassurance, validation, or emotional support — the mind often develops protective responses to cope. These responses may have helped at the time, but they can sometimes continue into adulthood in ways that no longer serve us.

You might notice patterns such as people-pleasing, emotional triggers in relationships, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling overly responsible for how others feel.

    Sessions 1–2
